What is a coffin spray?
A coffin spray is an arrangement of flowers designed to sit on top of the coffin. It is usually chosen by the closest family, such as a husband, wife, partner or children, and is often the centrepiece of the funeral flowers. Our florists hand-make every coffin spray in our Catshill shop using fresh seasonal flowers and foliage.
Choosing the right size
Coffin sprays are measured by length. A 3ft or 4ft spray sits neatly in the centre of the coffin, while a 5ft or 6ft spray covers more of the lid for a fuller look. Our largest designs reach 7ft. If you're not sure which size to choose, your funeral director can advise on the size of the coffin, or we're happy to help.
Colours and styles
Choose from soft whites and creams, gentle pastels, vibrant mixed colours, or rose and lily designs in pink or white. Many families choose colours that reflect the person's favourite flowers or personality. If you'd like something truly personal, we can also create a bespoke coffin spray.
Ordering and delivery
Most of our funeral tributes are made to order and many need at least 3 days' notice, so please get in touch as early as you can. We deliver directly to funeral directors, churches, crematoriums and family homes across Bromsgrove, Catshill, Hagley, Halesowen, Rubery, Barnt Green, Alvechurch and the surrounding villages. Timed funeral deliveries are £5. If you're unsure what to choose, call us on 0121 453 2234 and we'll talk it through with you.
Frequently asked questions
What size coffin spray should I choose?
Most families choose a 4ft or 5ft coffin spray. A 3ft spray suits a smaller, simpler look, while 6ft and 7ft sprays cover more of the coffin.
Who usually orders the coffin spray?
It is usually ordered by the closest family members, although there are no strict rules.
How much notice do you need?
Many tributes need at least 3 days' notice because they are made to order. If the funeral is sooner, please call us on 0121 453 2234 and we'll do everything we can to help.
Can you deliver to the funeral director?
Yes. We regularly deliver to funeral directors, churches and crematoriums across Bromsgrove and the surrounding area. Just give us the funeral director's name, address and the date and time of the service.
Is a message card included?
Yes, every tribute comes with a free handwritten message card. Add your message at checkout.
